Swallowed Up

Swallowed up by longing
To hear that voice again
To know
Those hands
That laugh
That terrible driving
Those crinkles and wrinkles
That easy cup of coffee
Or quick stop for a beer
That good argument at the table
That is always left at the table

Seven years should have cured me of this rawness
But today I am swallowed up
